A 39-YEAR-OLD man was shot and killed today (Wednesday) in Port-of-Spain.
Police reports are that around 6.15 am, Jamal Goodridge aka Popie, was at the corner of Nelson and Cockerton Streets when a white Tiida motor vehicle registration number unknown drove by and the occupants fired shots in his direction hitting him about his body.
He collapsed and was taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 6.40 am.
Goodridge lived at Nelson Street, Port-of-Spain.
Members of the Inter Agency Task Force of the Duncan Street post responded.
Enquiries are continuing.
