189 Fixed Penalty Notices over Weekend

FIVE persons were arrested for various offenses during Operation Pre-Carnival Pump in various divisions throughout Trinidad and Tobago, over the past 24 hours.

Members of the Emergency Response Patrol and E-999 Branch, assisted by the Port of Spain Divisional DUI Team, conducted an exercise between 8 pm on Saturday and 1 am on Sunday.

Five persons were arrested for various offenses and 189 fixed penalty notices were issued. Included among the arrests was one individual for the possession of 60 exotic birds, one DUI, one person caught driving without a driver’s permit and no certificate of insurance, one person for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and obstruction, and another individual was found in possession of 534 grams of marijuana.

This exercise was co-ordinated by ACP Thompson and spearheaded by Supt Robain. It was supervised by Asp Ward, Inspectors Sankar, Alleyne, Saunders K, and Saunders V as well as all Divisional Base Commanders.
