Rowley in Washington for Cybersecurity, Energy Talks

PRIME Minister Dr Keith Rowley is in Washington, DC, with a number of government officials to engage in multilateral talks with senior representatives of the United States Government.

The scheduled meetings aim to advance discussions on key areas such as energy, commerce, cybersecurity and diplomatic relations, a release from the Office of the Prime Minister stated on Sunday.

Dr Rowley is joined by a delegation that includes the Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Dr Amery Browne and the Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Stuart Young.

Minister of Digital Transformation Hassel Bacchus as well as Minister in the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs Renuka Sagramsingh-Sooklal and Chief of Defence Staff Air Vice-Marshal Darryl Daniel are also part of the delegation.

In the interim, Minister of Finance Colm Imbert will act as prime minister until Dr Rowley’s return.
