WASA Finishes Repairs…

THE Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) completes repairs to the Caroni South transmission pipeline, at Endeavour Road, Chaguanas.

The repairs were finished around 7.45 pm on Sunday. Customers in south and central Trinidad were without a supply from 9 am on Sunday.

A release from WASA on Monday stated, “The supply has since been restored with the transmission and distribution systems currently being recharged towards normalisation. Customers are however, advised that it may take up to 48 hours for the service to normalize to some areas, in accordance with established water supply schedules.

“Customers in affected areas are advised to check the Authority’s social media pages: @ WASA Trinidad & Tobago on Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), for details on temporary amended schedules resulting from the disruption.”

For customers in parts of Chaguanas, WASA noted, that additional repair works are
ongoing in the same area, as such the supply to the following areas is expected to be
restored by 1 pm on Monday.
• Edinburgh 500,
• Balmoral Park,
• Lange Park,
• Aberdeen Park

Customers are further advised that they may experience some discolouration in their water supply as the service is restored.
