Update: AZP News Coverage of PM’s Press Conference

PRIME Minister Dr Keith Rowley held a  press conference at the Diplomatic Centre in St Ann’s on Monday. He spoke for just about 90 minutes and took questions from the media for half an hour.

Atlantic Train 1 Still Idle

ATLANTIC LNG Train 1 is nowhere close to coming online.

This was stated by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.

He was responding to a question from AZP News about reports from Reuters and the Express Newspapers that Trinidad and Tobago aimed to restart the LNG unit by the first quarter of 2027 after it restructures the facilities ownership and negotiates new gas supplies. Click here for full details…

Orange Riverine Alert… Ministry makes Preparations

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley said he spoke with Minister of Rural Development and Local Government Faris Al-Rawi who assured that all preparations were in place for adverse effects and all the relevant authorities were at the job as flooding was reported especially in south Trinidad. HSF Healthy says Imbert

The Trinidad and Tobago Heritage and Stabilisation Fund is in good shape. Minister of Finance said the net asset value of the HSF has increased by US$327 million over TT$2 billion in the last six months between January 2023 and June 2023. Full details here
