Army, Police Investigating Missing Rifle

A SPECIAL team consisting of army and police officers are investigating the case of the missing AR-15 rifle.

On Monday, Leader of Government Business in the House of Representatives Camille Robinson-Regis gave further information on the investigation of the rifle that went missing from Tetron Barracks, Chaguaramas.

She said, “The investigative and the intelligence machinery have been carefully activated in this regard and this special team is headed by Senior Superintendent Henry of the Western Division.”

Robinson-Regis mentioned the $75,000 reward being offered for any information that will lead to the recovery of the rifle and the arrest of the person who took it.

She also said as customary, the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force was also conducting its investigations following a question asked by Opposition MP Dr Roodal Moonilal if it was conducting an investigation into its own security protocols, procedures and policies on the matter.
