A COCONUT vendor was shot dead on Friday evening at Golconda Junction in the vicinity of the Solomon Hochoy Highway.
Police reports are that around 4.15pm, the vendor known as “Heavy” was approached by a man who shot him once in the head.
The man ran back into a silver Toyota Fielder wagon registration number PBL 1035 and escaped, police said. The vehicle was last seen heading in the direction of Debe.
Investigators said the vehicle registration’s number also belongs to a Toyota Hilux TBL 1035.
Officers are a searching for the vehicle.
There was also a double murder being reported in Claxton Bay with more details to come.
