TRINIDAD and Tobago is currently at a seven-day rolling average of 183 Covid-19 positive cases per day.

This is according to the Chief Medical Officer Roshan Parasram at the Covid-19 presser on Saturday while giving the clinical health update.

He said, “We have been in that sort of range of less than 200 for about two to three weeks. Continue to be in that sort of 190, 180, 200 range. So, it’s continuing in that plateau we’ve been known to see.”

The CMO also noted that the cases of Covid positivity in Caroni continues to remain high as well as large number of cases from Victoria’ county and an increase in cases in Tobago.

While referring to  county Victoria, he said the number of cases coming into the county were greater than the number of discharges. He said this was concerning.

Dr Parasran said the ministry will be keeping close eyes on counties Victoria, Caroni, St George East and Tobago at this point in time.
