SOCA power couple Ian “Bunji Garlin” Alvarez and his wife Fay Ann Lyons are the Road March champions for Carnival 2023.
Their song Hard Fete was played 135 times this year, the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organisation (TUCO)announced in a media release at 12.41 pm on Wednesday.
Nailah Blackman–Thornhill song with Skinny Fabulous Come Home came in second position with 106 plays and Machel Montano’s Like Yuhself was in third position being played 50 times.
This year, TUCO is partnering with Tourism Trinidad to announce the Visit Trinidad Road March Champion with a grand prize of $250,000 dollars and recognition as the latest in a long line of the most popular songs on the road since 1932.
