WHEN the Trinidad and Tobago nationals return home from Suriname they will be quarantined at the University of the West Indies campus in Debe.

This was revealed by Dr Maryam Richards, the Principal Medical Officer Institutions in the Ministry of Health, at the virtual news conference on Wednesday morning.

She said the campus can house up to 72 people in individual rooms.

Dr Richards said a swab team has already been set up by the South West Regional Health Authority to test the group when they arrive in Trinidad.

Some of the nationals were in Suriname for more that two months. They had gone to work in the refinery there and were unable to secure a flight back home before TT borders closed on March 23.
