POINT Fortin Mayor Saleema Thomas is Covid-19 positive.
She is also pregnant and expecting her third child later this year.
In a release on Saturday, Thomas said two days ago she began experiencing flu-like symptoms and took a Covid-19 test which returned positive.
Thomas said she was an expectant mother due to give birth to her third child later this year.
She said she was working closely with the Ministry of Health to ensure that all the necessary contact tracing and protocols were followed.
