No Physical Classes at UWI, COSTAATT

THE University of the West Indies, St Augustine campus, has suspended physical classes on Monday.

In a media release on Sunday night, UWI said classes will be delivered online instead.

UWI staff will switch to remote work except for Campus Security, Facilities Management, Halls of residence, Health Services Unit, and Libraries.

“This week is the designated reading week so no classes or assessments are allowed except for certain programmes in the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMS). Classes at the FMS will be online for this week,” UWI stated.

The Alma Jordan and Medical Sciences libraries will open today from 9 am to 4 pm.

COSTAATT campuses closed 

The College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT) also put out a public notice that their campuses will be closed today because of the bad weather.

COSTAAT stated, “Faculty will contact you regarding alternative arrangements for classes. If weather conditions permit, normal college operations will resume on Tuesday November 29, at all sites. Please take all precautionary measures necessary to ensure your safety and that of your family.”

The institutions both stated that they will continue to monitor the situation.

All pre-school, primary and secondary schools are also closed in Trinidad and Tobago on Monday.
