NO third dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be administered today for anyone who is fully vaccinated with this brand.
This denial came after a social media post told people that a third dose of the AZ was available at the Paddock of the Queen’s Park Savannah on Saturday.
Minister of Health, Terrance Deyalsingh said only certain categories of people were eligible for a third dose. Those included patients with:
- Transplants;
- Lupus;
- Cancer;
- On dialysis;
- HIV/AIDS; and
- Others moderately to severely immunocompromised.
The North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) also stated what Deyalsingh said at the Ministry of Health Press conference on Saturday.
He said, “There are lines at the Paddock, the post on social media is not true and was not posted by the Ministry of Health.
“Please do not go to the Paddock expecting to get your AstraZeneca shots without conforming to the protocols of falling into one of the five diseased states.”
