Lynch Body Found 7km from Where she Fell in Ravine

THREE days after she fell into raging waters, the body of Theresa Lynch, 41, has been found.

It was discovered about seven kilometres from where she was swept away after falling into a ravine leading into the Surrey River at McDonald Trace in Arouca on Tuesday.

The Hunters Search and Rescue posted that Lynch’s body was found by relatives on Friday.

The team stated that the body was discovered south of the La Flourisssant Bridge on the Arima Old Road.

Lynch,  was with her brother, husband and another person at the family’s garden off McDonald Trace on Tuesday morning as the effects of a tropical wave were being felt in northeast Trinidad and in Tobago.

They were making their way back home, around 12.45 pm when began to cross a ravine that flowed into a Surrey River.

Lynch, who was holding a bamboo rod, lost her balance and fell in and her brother William Ramgoolam grabbed her clothes, but was unable to hold on to her.
