In his address, Roget stated it was wrong that as workers, if they did not take the jab, they would not be paid and lose their job.

“Workers have rights, as it was their body and choice to, either accept or reject a jab.”

He also announced JTUM’s invitation to stand with other voices against mandatory vaccination on February 12 at Palmiste Park.

Meanwhile, Hamilton called on citizens to come out and support the movement against mandatory vaccinations at Palmiste, San Fernando.

“Please pay attention to your people. Please hear your citizens, as this is one time in our lives we are not going to back down,” was the message sent to Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley and the Government.

Hamilton remained confident that people were united, as they had been on the ground for weeks and everybody was in support of every movement that stood up for the people.

She quoted the Watch Words, “Together, we aspire, Together we achieve,” she asked persons for their support to come to stand up with them on February 12 at Palmiste Park to send a statement to the Government of Trinidad and Tobago.

In addition, Roget made reference to those in governance who collected hefty rent from the properties rented to the Government, aside from their monthly salaries.

“Those are the persons saying if you don’t take the jab, you will lose your job and get no pay.”

He said, “So, you give them a job to secure your job but they use that job to force you to take a jab,  and if you don’t take that jab, they will remove you from your job.

“Something has to be wrong with that, it is wrong and we are prepared to take it where it has to go to stop it.”

Roget stated that any law brought into Parliament to deny any right to work or remove the rights to work from anybody will be rejected.
