AN investigation is ongoing into several unused stamped Ministry of Health immunisation cards that have been stamped.
The cards were allegedly taken from a man at the Sangre Grande Civic Center Vaccination Site.
Officers from the Sangre Grande Police Station are conducting the investigations.
This week, Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh said the Ministry of National Security would be working with the Ministry of Health to intensify security measures regarding the falsifying of Covid-19 vaccination cards.
The stricter measures, details of which the minister did not disclose, come after the stated intention of the Government to make the public service into safe zones.
On Thursday, Member of Parliament for Couva South Rudranath Indarsingh called on Deyalsingh to prove that some workers not wishing to get the Covid-19 vaccine but wanted to keep their jobs were indeed providing false vaccination statuses to their employers.
