RESIDENTS of Beetham Gardens and Sea Lots have taken to burning tyres to protest on Monday the killing of one of three men at the hands of police on Saturday.

Debris was first thrown on the eastbound lane of the Beetham Highway just before 11 am on Monday. This caused a traffic jam with many vehicles turning back and heading west on the eastbound lane to get out of the area.

Both the east and westbound lanes of the road at Sea Lots near to the Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) were blocked with debris.
