PRIME Minister Dr Keith Rowley was at the toss of the Indian Premier League (IPL) game between the Mumbai Indian and the Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday.

Rowley arrived in India on Wednesday at the invitation of Reliance Group which owns the Mumbai Indians.

He also posted a photo with him and Trinidad and Tobago Kieron Pollard who is now a coach with Mumbai.

Lucknow won the game by 18 runs and another Trinidadian Nicholas Pooran was awarded the Player of the Match award for his 75 from 29 balls.

Last month at a post-Cabinet press conference, Dr Rowley revealed that the Reliance group of India will be involved in a private public partnership and the government has agreed to allocate the parcel of land obliquely opposite Trincity Mall for the academy.

Dr Rowley said the Cabinet was approached by interests from Trinidad and Tobago and India and agreed to the proposal.
