Extension for Covid Mask Fines, Traffic Tickets

THE Judiciary has extended the deadline to November 30 for payments for traffic tickets and public health fixed penalty notices or mask fines.

A release on Wednesday stated that it is extending payment for the following:

  • Traffic Tickets issued before May 26, 2020 and
  • Public Health Fixed Penalty Notices and Safe Zone penalties (mask fines) issued during the period March 16, 2020, to September 30, 2023.

The mask fines for not wearing a face cover during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The release stated that failure to pay the mask fine may result in a warrant for arrest and a fine of $5,000 and three days in prison.

It stated that payments can be made through https://courtpay.ttlawcourts.org.

Accepted are:

  1.  a credit card,
  2. a visa-enabled debit card or
  3. a Court Pay Fines and Fees Voucher purchased from any NLCB Lotto Booth.

The release stated, “If you are using a CourtPay voucher to make your payment online, remember that your payment is only final when the voucher is applied to the fine or fee on the CourtPay website
