Creamery, MITTCO Become Sponsors of CPL

CREAMERY Novelties Limited and Musical Instruments of Trinidad and Tobago Company Limited (MITTCO) have announced sponsorship of the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for three consecutive seasons from 2022 to 2024.

In releases on Friday, both companies stated they were happy to showcase their products to the world in the tournament that starts on August 30 and ends with the finals on Providence, Guyana, on September 30. Matches will be played in four countries- St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.

Creamery has been named the Official Ice Cream for the CPL T20 tournament.

It stated, “We will be on hand to sweeten the day for all cricket fans as they share in the exhilaration and energy that is CPL cricket. There will be interactive zones at all CPL games, where fans can sample delicious treats and interact with our Brand Ambassadors.

“Creamery Novelties has been delighting tastebuds both locally and throughout the Caribbean since 2018.

“With a dynamic and increasing portfolio of delectable treats that include ice cream and frozen novelty items, our aim is to provide products of exceptional taste and quality that are enjoyed by persons of all ages.”

MITTCO stated that it was delighted to be on such a prestigious stage.

It stated, “Already revered as one of the world’s most popular T20 cricket tournaments with a fanbase of over five hundred million (500,000,000) viewers, the CPL continues to be a much sought-after multimedia platform for showcasing the Caribbean’s lifestyle and culture.

“As such, we are delighted for the opportunity to launch MITTCO to the world on such a prestigious stage.”

It stated that T&T was renowned the world over as the birthplace of the steelpan, and MITTCO looked forward to writing “our chapter in this incredible story of our National Instrument that is steeped in a legacy of rich history and culture.”

It stated that its newly-commissioned facility in Diego Martin, Trinidad, was spacious, modernised, and well-equipped.

MITTCO stated, “Here, we aim to manufacture best-in-class steelpans, utilising traditional methods that have been handed down through generations.

“We employ remarkably skilled and experienced pan artisans who are highly respected and well versed in their craft. It is with love and a great sense of pride in our country and culture that we present our locally manufactured steelpans to the world.”

The Hadco Group of Companies owns Creamery and has a 45% stake in MITTCO.
