A NINE-year-old boy was fatally shot in Enterprise on Saturday night.
Police reports indicate that Jomol Modeste, also known as MJ, was among a number of people including children who were taking cover from gunfire in African Grounds in Enterprise.
Investigators said that bandits hijacked a bread van from a nearby bakery and then drove onto the ground and started to shoot.
Jomol was shot and rushed to the Chaguanas Health Facility where he succumbed to his injuries.
He was a Standard Two pupil of the Carapichaima RC School.
