ANOTHER police officer dies from Covid-19, exactly ten years after he was enlisted in the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS)
The TTPS issued condolences on the passing of PC Surab Ali, in a release on Monday.
Ali, 43, was enlisted into the TTPS on December 15, 2012. He passed away on December 15, 2021. He was buried the same day under full Muslim rites.
Sgt Selwyn Legendre, of the Finance Branch – Stores warehouse in Arima, when asked to comment on the passing of the officer, said when he heard of the news, “I broke down in tears.”
He added, “PC Ali was a hard worker who demonstrated a strong sense of pride on the job. The loss is a blow to the unit and moreover the organisation.”
PC Ali leaves to mourn his wife and two daughters and acting Commissioner of Police McDonald Jacob and the TTPS executive have extended their deepest condolences to his loved ones.
