$30,000 in Electrical Wires Stolen from TSTT

ELECTRICAL wires valued at $30,616 have been stolen from the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT).

Police reported that around 1am on Wednesday, a disruption of service report from provider TSTT was received by the National Operations Centre (NOC) emanating from electrical poles numbers 165 to 170.

The poles are located on the eastern side of the Saddle Road, Upper Santa Cruz where cables for telecommunications, mobile and landline telephones, internet and cable television are used.

Around 1.02pm later that day, a check was made in the affected area and revealed that 400metres of TSTT copper cable valued $30,616 missing from the electrical poles. No one was given permission to remove same.
