AFTER two decades of absence from the Winter Olympic Games, Trinidad and Tobago has placed 28th out of 30 competitors on Tuesday.
In heat three, T&T’s team member Bobsleigh British-born Axel Brown was joined by the alternate brakeman Shakeel John who replaced André Marcano due to a torn tendon for the final run at the Yanqing National Sliding Centre in China.
Together, Brown and John finished in 1:86 seconds for an overall time of 3:02.56 seconds.
T&T finished ahead of Brazil in position 29th, followed by Jamaica in 30th as teams from Germany took the gold, silver and bronze medals.
