12 Safe Zone Tickets Issued in South

FOR failing to comply with the TT Safe Zone policy, a total of 12  tickets were issued to bar and restaurant operators as well as patrons last Friday in the Southern Division.

The exercise was conducted between the hours of 6 pm and 12 midnight.

The exercise was coordinated by Snr Supt Winchester, Supt Carty and Asp Jaikeran and Snr Supt Santana from the Southern Municipal Police and supervised by Insp Phillip, acting Sgt Haitool and also included officers of the Southern Division Safe Zone, Southern Division Task Force and personnel of Princes Town, San Fernando and Couva Municipal Police.

Tickets were issued to Priya Mohammed, of Cunjal road Barrackpore, for failing to comply with requirements for entry into the business, at Boozers Bar at Bonne Adventure Road,  Gasparillo, she being the operator and  Rajkumar Bheem of  Bonne Adventure Gasparillo, he being a patron for being unvaccinated in a safe zone at the bar.

Belinda Mitchell, of  Cipero Road, San Fernando, the owner/operator at Topper’s Restaurant at South Park for failing to comply with requirements for entry into the business and Travis Mohammed of Manahambre Road, Princes Town for being unvaccinated in a safe zone at Topper’s were also issued tickets.

Tickets were issued to Wayne Sammy, of SS Erin Road, Debe, for allowing an unvaccinated person in safe zone he being the operator, at Black Sails Restaurant at SS Erin road Phillippine and Aneisa Garcia Thomas, of Doctor Hill, Whiteland, being the unvaccinated person in a safe zone at the restaurant.

Randy Walters, of Malgretoute Road,  Princes Town, was issued a ticket for allowing an unvaccinated person in the safe zone he being the operator at Rhumba Bar and Sherwin Balkaran, of Naparima Mayaro Road, Princes Town, being the unvaccinated patron was also issued a ticket.

Wesley Baker, of Garth Road, Princes Town, the owner/operator of Tisic Bar of Naparima Mayaro Road, Malgretoute was given a ticket for allowing  Anil Bachan of Railway Reserve Road, Princes Town who is not vaccinated to be allowed in the bar.

Also along the Naparima Mayaro Road, Stacy Soodeen of Caratal Road, Gasparillo was issued a ticket for being the owner/operator of Midnight Bar at Mt Stewart Village, Naparima Mayaro Road, and allowing Vanessa Louise, of Railway Reserve Road, Princes Town, to be at the safe zone although not fully vaccinated.

Additionally,  a total of four face mask tickets were issued.
