Tallawahs Make it Look Easy vs Warriors

JAMAICA Tallawahs made it look easy as they raced to victory against the Guyana Amazon Warriors at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port-of-Spain on Tuesday.

The game was a low scoring one with the Warriors only managing to get to 108 for nine in their 20 overs.

The openers were kept at bay with Brandon King out for a duck and Anthony Bramble gone for seven, off the bowling of Fidel Edwards.

Only three players made it into double figures with Ross Taylor top scoring on 23 before he fell to Andre Russell.

Edwards and Mujeeb Ur Rahman picked up three wickets a piece.

Twenty-six from Glen Phillips set the foundation for the Tallawahs before he was caught by Keemo Paul off the bowling of Naveen-ul-Haq.

The top score of 30 came from the bat of Nkrumah Bonner to help his team cross the line with two overs to spare, only losing five wickets in their cause.

Player of the match was Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

Action continues on Wednesday between the Trinbago Knight Riders and St Lucia Zouks at the same venue from 10 am.

Then at 5.30 pm, the Barbados Tridents are up against Jamaica Tallawahs.
