Sent in to bat, TKR posted 174/4 thanks largely to 96 from 63 balls by Lendl Simmons who was man of the match.

He was caught by Dominic Drakes trying to go big on the longest boundary of the field to bring up his century in style.

TKR made a number of changes having already qualified for the knockout round with Dwayne Bravo standing in as captain for Kieron Pollard.

Opener Amir Jangoo made his CPL debut after waiting in the wings for three years. He was run out on six.

In the Patriots turn at the crease, Chris Lynn top scored with 34 while Joshua Da Silva got to 29 before he was caught and bowled by Pravin Tambe.

The win puts TKR as clear leaders with a perfect 16 points.
