Energy Minister Meets with New NGC Chairman

Minister of Energy and Energy Industries Franklin Khan has met with the new chairman of the National Gas Company Conrad Enill.

Enill, a former energy minister and minister in the ministry of finance during the Patrick Manning regime has replaced Gerry Brooks who resigned on June 30.

In a statement the Energy Ministry stated that also present at the meeting were President of NGC Mark Loquan, all the board members of NGC, Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries Sandra Fraser and Financial Manager Dan Martineau.

The statements noted, “The meeting discussed ongoing NGC issues as well as the future strategic direction of the Company.”

It stated that during the meeting, Khan thanked Brooks for his service. Brooks had said that he left NGC to spend more time building his family law practice “the focus of which will include mediation and arbitration.”
