THE Ministry of Health will issue only one Covid-19 update at 4 pm each day in a new format starting from Thursday.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Roshan Parasram revealed this at the virtual media conference of the Ministry of Health on Wednesday.
He said the release would be in a new and improved dashboard format.
Dr Parasram said, “As of tomorrow we’ll be having one press release per day, issued at 4pm to the press.
It’s a new look, it’s a dashboard for Covid-19 for Trinidad and Tobago.”
He said the new format will include the number of people tested and recovered patients – consisting of patients discharged plus the recovered community cases.
Dr Parasram said the new dashboard will also have the total number of deaths and new positive cases reported within the last 24 hours.
It will also have information on patients in home isolation and those in step-down facilities.
He added, “We think it’s a simple graphic to follow and from tomorrow (Thursday) going forward we’ll be sending this via press release.”
