60 Covid-19 Deaths in T&T

THE Ministry of Health has reported two additional Covid-19 related  deaths on  Thursday evening.

In its latest update, the Ministry of Health reported the death of an elderly male patient and an elderly female patient, both with comorbidities.

This means that 60 people have now died due to Covid-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.

The ministry reported an additional nine positive cases from results from samples taken during the period September 4 to September 15, 2020 and an additional 98 positive cases taken from the period September 4 to Sept 16.

Number of Samples submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency and the University of the West Indies testing site at Mt Hope: 28,493

Number of people tested: 24,578

People having more than one test: 3,043

Positive samples in public and private facilities in TT: 3,434

Active Covid-19 cases: 1,905

Number of Deaths: 60

Discharges: 814

Number of recovered community cases: 655

The Ministry of Health stated that recovered community cases refer to persons who were previously Covid-19 positive and in self-isolation at home and subsequently met the discharge criteria and were released from self-isolation.
