AN 18-year-old woman has been placed on a one-year bond after pleading guilty to attacking her 66-year-old boyfriend.
She was arrested after police investigated a report made by the man in September.
The victim reported to police that while at his home in East Trinidad on September 7, a heated argument ensued.
During the quarrel, the woman threw items and damaged household appliances as well as the windshield to the man’s vehicle. She also assaulted him causing abrasions to his hands.
And she also stole several items and cash amounting to $11,750.
Police conducted further enquiries into the matter which led to the woman being arrested and charged with the offences on Wednesday by WPC Treavajo, of the Eastern Division.
She was charged with Malicious Damage, Assault Occasioning a Wound and Larceny and pleaded guilty to each offence when she appeared virtually before Magistrate Cheron Raphael.
If she breaks the bond, the woman would be fined $10,000 in default, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated in a media release on Friday.
