CITING the late Blaxx’s 2018 Soca hit that she entered 2023 Local Government Election campaign meetings with, political leader of the United National Congress (UNC) Kamla Persad-Bissessar on Saturday called on people to unleash the “Hulk” and vote against the People’s National Movement (PNM) at the polls on Monday.

At the final rally before the elections at the SSL car park in San Fernando, she called on voters to “stand your ground” against criminals and vote for the UNC and its partners the NTA.

She said, “What I did for this campaign was to shine a light to wake up all the people.

“Many do not feel a sense of belonging, a sense of hope, a sense of responsibility.

“They live on the fringes… we have to work relentlessly with our families and communities.”

Persad-Bissessar called on people to be their brother’s keeper and make Trinidad and Tobago a safe place again.

And paraphrasing the Hulk, she said, “Trials and testing does come before blessings and you have to be patient for eight long years.

“Our blessings will come on Monday. The time has come to let your Hulk out.”
