THE United National Congress (UNC) is praising itself for contributing to the public dialogue concerning the Covid-19 vaccines as Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley announced that Trinidad and Tobago will be receiving 40,000 doses from India and 100,000 from China.

In a press release on Wednesday, the UNC stated that the Opposition worked hard to keep the issue in the public domain which pushed Dr Rowley to accept the Indian vaccines.

The UNC stated, “The United National Congress is pleased at the fruit of our tireless efforts to ensure that T&T gets vaccinated quickly and in the required numbers, while taking advantage of the offer of free vaccine donations from India, and other sources.

“The Opposition has fulfilled its role of taking up the slack left by this heartless, arrogant and destructive Government. Just last week Keith Rowley insulted our CARICOM neighbours, calling them “beggars”, to hide his and ((Health Minister) Terrence Deyalsingh’s negligence and inaction.”

And the UNC stated it will continue to work for the improvement of all citizens even while in Opposition.
