THE Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SATT) is pledging its support for citizens of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) following the volcanic eruption of La Soufriere.
The organisation along with others in Trinidad and Tobago are ready to lend aid where necessary.
SATT stated in a press release on Friday, “SATT stands ready to assist SVG with humanitarian efforts where supplies and foodstuffs are concerned as well as raising funds for immediate disaster relief efforts.”
Discussions have already begun with non-governmental organisations to assist with further efforts SATT stated.
The Association added, “Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with the people of SVG at this time. We are prepared to continue to commit to our charter of humanitarian efforts as we continue to work together to bring relief.”
