A 35-YEAR-OLD male teacher who allegedly sexually touched a boy, 15, has been charged.
He was granted bail in the sum of $200,000 with surety, when he appeared before Magistrate Debbie Ann Bassaw at the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court on Monday, charged with one count of Sexual Touching.
The accused is expected to appear in court on March 1.
According to police reports, on October, 26 2021, the pupil was allegedly sexually touched by a teacher while at school.
The incident was later reported to the Child Protection Unit Southern Division. The officers investigated the matter, which led to the arrest of a suspect, who was charged with sexual touching on February 11.
Charges were laid by PC Amora.
The investigation was supervised by Senior Superintendent Claire – Guy Alleyne, ASP Seecharan and Inspector Ramphal and Sergeant Baptiste and Corporal Chance.
