OPPOSITION Senator Anil Roberts is lashing back at Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley after a People’s National Movement (PNM) meeting in Belmont on Tuesday.
Roberts in a social media video on Wednesday mentioned his own personal marital situation and the Life Sport programme.
He said his name was not called in any audit report so therefore was not required to make any court appearance.
“It was the public servants. Those who were charged with handling the people’s money who went to court and Life Sport was quashed, an audit that was fraudulent and thrown out of the court,” he said.
Robert said, “After 21 days of hiding, not eating, walking with tangy bangy to come and say you get horn and Anil say so. Anil didn’t say so. Then you talk something about Anil get horn so it’s okay if you get horn. It have one problem with that Rowley.
“You mustn’t lie and believe your own lies. The problem with your theory Rowley is that when Anil laid his eyes on his beautiful wife, the lady who became his wife, she was in a loving long-term two-year relationship with the man the PNM is trying to say horn Anil so somebody got horn but it wasn’t Anil.”
Dr Rowley on Tuesday night at a public People’s National Movement (PNM) meeting in Belmont said, “When Anil Roberts prepares videos and tries to scandalise my wife, all I can tell Anil, I can take a horn if I get one, I ent sending nobody to kill nobody.”
He also said that Roberts, a former sports minister, was put back in the Senate even though he was involved in Life Sport.
Roberts said he found Dr Rowley’s wife Sharon Clark -Rowley to be “brilliant, amazing, intelligent, classy,” a brilliant grandmother and an amazing human being.
“I have nothing bad to say about Sharon except, she choose the wrong man,” he said.
Speaking about Dr Rowley’s style of leadership which the Opposition has constantly stated was a dictorship, Roberts said Dr Rowley was the first dictator in the history of the planet to get horn.
He also took a jab at Dr Rowley’s physical appearance: “You looking skinny, you looking tired, you looking sad, you looking weak.”
Roberts said the country had bigger issues to deal with such as bad roads, crime and poverty and that Dr Rowley should instead focus on those issues.
