Robbery at Church’s in POS

Port of Spain – POLICE are looking for a suspect following a robbery at the Church’s Texas Chicken fast-food restaurant in Independence Square in Port of Spain on Sunday afternoon.

The incident took place just after midday with several customers were present.

According to police reports, the suspect entered the restaurant as a customer, jumped over the counter, seizing a bag containing the day’s sales. The assailant, armed with a firearm, then left.

This recent incident comes on the heels of a previous robbery at the same Church’s Texas Chicken outlet in March of last year. During that incident, criminals overpowered the security guards and made offat least $8,000.

In January, two men where held on the roof of the Arouca branch of Church’s with a bag filled with money and housebreaking tools in their possession.
