THE country’s two largest political parties, the People’s National Movement (PNM) and the United National Congress (UNC) have major events planned for today.
In Toco, the PNM is hosting its annual Sports and Family Day at the Toco Composite Secondary School.
PNM’s political leader and Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley is expected to address the gathering on Sunday evening.
In Chaguanas, the UNC is having an interfaith service to commemorate its 34th anniversary and to launch the opening of their new headquarters at Mulchan Seuchan Rd.
UNC’s political leader and Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar will deliver the feature address at the event that begins at 2 pm.
Both events are being streamed live.
