Minimart Owner Gunned Down

THREE years after her husband was shot and killed in Tobago, a mini-mart owner in Carenage was shot to death.

The murder occurred on Sunday by a suspect pretending to be a customer at Ravi by the Bay mini-mart located on the Western Main Road.

Reports are that Radica Debideen, 69, was shot around 8.10 am while in conversation with the suspect who escaped.

Her body was found by another customer who went to the mini-mart to make a purchase.

Debideen was a mother of two and grandmother of four.

In June  2020, her husband Koongebeharry Jaisarie who co-owned the Easy Breezy Hotel in Canaan Tobago had disappeared on the island.

His body was discovered on June 23, buried eight feet down in the ground and covered in concrete in Lowlands, Tobago.

Three men and a woman were charged with his murder.
