Munroe Road, Aranguez Win Baal Vikaas 2025

MUNROE Road Hindu Primary School is the winner of this year’s Baal Vikaas Vihaar competition in the large schools’category (Group A).
Aranguez Hindu Primary School emerged as winner in the small schools’ category (Group B).
The finals of the inter-school competition hosted by the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha (SDMS) is to ensure the preservation and transference of Hindu culture and religion upon its pupils.

The finals were held over the weekend at the Maha Sabha headquarters in St Augustine and pupils would have participated in several categories featuring song, dance, arts and crafts, public speaking, language and religion.
On its Facebook page on Monday, Munroe Road Hindu posted, “We are thrilled to announce that our school has placed 1st Overall in the Baal Vikaas Vihaar 2025!
“This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and talent of our amazing students, the tireless efforts of our teachers and the support of our parents.  Thank you all for believing, supporting, and standing with us every step of the way. This victory is yours too!”

The school qualified for the finals placing first in the Hindi & Ramayan Singing category, second – Gita, Bhajan & Folk Song , 5th – Classical Singing, 6th  – Ramayan Quiz & Dance  and 8th in Instrumental.
The pupils qualified for the finals in all categories except the instrumental.
Munroe Road Hindu was placed in Group A in which 15 schools participated for the competition held annually by schools that fall under the SDMS board.

For placing first with 126 points, the school received $35,000 cash and the Bhadase Sagan Maharaj Memorial Trophy.
Debe Hindu and Robert Village Hindu won second and third place from that group respectively.
They received in addition to trophies cash prizes, $25,000 for second place and $15,000 for the third place winner.
In Group B, 19 schools participated with Ramai Trace Hindu and Reform Hindu placing second and third.
For winning in Group B with 124 points, Aranguez Hindu School received $30,000 cash and the Shri Satnarayan Maharaj Memorial Trophy.
The Aranguez Hindu School said to parents it has made history by securing First Place at the Baal Vikaas finals as the first north school to ever make the first place in championship.

Ramai Trace Hindu received $20,000 and Reform Hindu gained $12,000 for their victories as well.

SDMS posted on Facebook, “Heartfelt congratulations to our Overall Champions from Group A and Group B schools! We also extend our warmest wishes to all the other schools who placed in the various categories — from Ramayan Quiz and Bhajan to Dance and Hindi. Every student, teacher, and principal who persevered has made this year’s Baal Vikaas Vihaar a true celebration of culture, learning and Sanatan Dharma.
