Monday’s Weather: Chance of Thunderstorms, Strong Winds

TRINIDAD and Tobago is currently under an Adverse Weather Alert Yellow Level 1 which took effect from 3 pm on Sunday and was expected until 4 pm on Monday (today).

FORECAST: Partly cloudy/cloudy and breezy conditions accompanied by periods of light or moderate showers. There is a 70 to 80% (high) chance of heavy showers/thunderstorms in some areas. Conditions expected to gradually become settled during the evening/ night despite lingering showers in a few areas.

The remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Mostly hazy and breezy conditions despite a few brief isolated showers. Chance of a few heavy showers over parts of the Windward Islands.

Caution:  Gusty winds and street flooding can occur in the event of heavy showers or thunderstorms. Adverse Weather Alert #1 in effect until 4 pm.
