Fire Officers were at the scene late on Monday night as they fought to contain the flames.

On Tuesday morning, the owner of Autoplex told AZPNews.com that nine businesses including his were destroyed but thankfully no one was injured.

The owner, who wished not to be identified, said, “There were water hydrants but the officers were not getting water from them.”

Some residents even assisted fire officials to put out the flames which were quickly spreading, he said.

The owner said he was still awaiting the details of the report from the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service and the police.
