Kamla’s 12-Point Plan for 2020

OPPOSITION LEADER Kamla Persad-Bissessar is starting her 2020 election campaign early with her New Year’s message.

She has a plan that will generate 50,000 jobs, according to her message. General elections in Trinidad and Tobago are constitutionally due in 2020.

The United National Congress (UNC) leader made reference to her par­ty’s Na­tion­al Eco­nom­ic Trans­for­ma­tion Mas­ter­plan that pro­pos­es 12 Key Strate­gic Pros­per­i­ty En­gines.

She said if the UNC was given another chance in Government her ad­min­is­tra­tion would fo­cus on key de­vel­op­ment ar­eas which would help the coun­try in its eco­nom­ic di­ver­si­fi­ca­tion thrust. These are:

6. West Port Of Spain ‘Trinidad Cre­ative Arts Street/Area’
7. East Port Of Spain Steel­pan Man­u­fac­tur­ing Fa­cil­i­ty
