He also revealed that at 7.05pm, Allen succumbed to her injuries while being treated. A post mortem is expected to be done at the Forensic Science Centre.  Crime scene personnel processed the scene and recovered four knives and other items of evidential value.

Investigations further revealed that around 6.15pm, Allen, a labourer and her female relative were at home when they had an altercation.  The relative was in the kitchen washing wares and at the time was washing a knife when Allen allegedly threw dirty water on her.  The relative got annoyed, a struggled ensued and she reportedly stabbed Allen. And in a third incident, a 42-year-old man was shot.

Around 9pm, police officers received a report of loud explosions at Moraldo Trace, Sam Boucaud, Santa Cruz.  On arrival they met and interviewed a man who reported that around 9pm he walked inside after liming outside of his house, but did not close the door behind him, police reported.

Upon entering the house, the man heard his uncle Ishaba Dennie say, “gunmen in de yard.”

He went and told his father Winston Dennie, about the gunmen.  By that time, two armed men had entered the house.

The first assailant with a red rag over his head, a black mask covering his face and armed with a handgun, the second assailant’s face was uncovered.

The first assailant ordered them to get down on the floor, Winston Dennie refused and got into a scuffle with the assailant in an attempt to disarm him. The assailant then fired several shots at Winston hitting him about his body and wounding Ishaba Dennie.  Winston Dennie ran out of the house and collapsed in the yard.  The assailants ran off through a nearby track and escaped.  Both men were taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where Winston Dennie was pronounced dead on arrival at 9.35pm.
