A PRISONER who had escaped from hospital has been recaptured, police reported.
In a release by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) on Monday, police stated that the prisoner from Siparia who has escaped from the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, was recaptured and taken to the St Joseph Police Station.
Police reported that around 7.45 pm, based on information received, officers conducted an exercise during which a vehicle was intercepted in the vicinity of the St Joseph Village traffic lights, along the San Fernando By-Pass. As a result, the prisoner was re-captured.
The manhunt is still on for four other prisoners who also escaped from the Golden Grove Prison in Arouca on Sunday.
