THE Ministry of Education will state at 8 pm whether schools will be in operation tomorrow.
This after Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service updated its Adverse Weather Alert to Orange Level as the ITCZ continues to affect Trinidad and Tobago, a release stated on Thursday evening.
Heavy rains caused traffic jams throughout country and flooding in La Romaine, Palmiste in San Fernando, Debe and Penal and on tropical waved passed over Trinidad and Tobago with another expected on Friday night.
This bad weather also puts a damper on Tobago’s Carnival over the weekend.
The release by the Education Ministry’s Corporate Communications Manager Rodelle Phillips-Simmons, stated that it will issue an advisory via social media at 8 pm.
Minister of Education Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly was crictised on October 6 when she closed schools at 7.08 am via Facebook due to an Orange Alert.
