EFFECTIVE from today (Monday) day-cares can now be re-opened.
Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh in a statement issued on Sunday night stated that pursuant to Regulation 10 of the Public Health Regulations, 2022, the opening of day-cares and the in-person attendance of Forms One to Six secondary school pupils, Standard Five primary school pupils and other school pupils of equivalent grades/years were authorised.
“All persons are advised to comply strictly with the (other) legal requirements of the Public Health [2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)] (No. 5) Regulations, 2022 and the public health guidelines,” the release stated.
The Ministry of Health stated that it will continue to monitor this development and take steps to safeguard the health of the population.
