Vials of the Covid-19 vaccines are missing from the Couva District Health Facility (CDHF) since Friday.
A press release from the South-West Regional Health Authority (SWRHA) on Saturday confirmed the incident after preliminary investigations.
The release did not state which brands of the vaccines have gone missing.
SWRHA stated, “As a matter of public safety, the Covid-19 vaccines should only be accessed at Ministry of Health authorised vaccination locations.”
Members of the public are advised to remain on high alert and contact the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service should they have information.
Investigations are currently on-going, the release stated.
