MANCHESTER City has bid £40 million to relegated Bournemouth for defender Nathan Ake.
BBC reported that there is an additional £1 million in add-ons as part of the deal.
The 25-year-old Netherlands International joined Bournemouth in 2017 for a club record fee and made 121 appearances for the Cherries.
Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola was targeting at least one centre-back to boost his squad next season and Ake was a target for a while.
Bournemouth were relegated from the Premier League after finishing 18th, while Manchester City finished runners-up.
