A stolen car was set on fire near the Mount St Benedict seminary on St John’s Road Tunapuna on Friday evening.
Fire officials said they responded to a report from Mount St Benedict and found a Nissan Tiida motor car on fire and this caused a storeroom on the compound of St Benedict to also catch fire.
Officials said the car is believed to be stolen.
They estimated the cost of the damage to be about $50,000. The storeroom had tables and chairs and was gutted by fire.
The car was completely destroyed.
